“Tour guide was attentive and shared hidden 'local' small town restaurant for the included traditional lunch. Both prosecco tasting experiences were great and offered different settings: beautiful country hillsides and a small town event location. We were rushed out of the 2nd due to an event going on. We even stopped at a wonderful local cheese shop/factory for cheese tastes, though we were told later that we needed to pay 3euro for this special stop. Rating would be 5 stars and tip higher if cheese stop was an added/covered touch.”

★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 37 reviews · 3 hours · from $90

Rialto Fish Market and cicchetti crawl with wine and lunch in Venice, guided by Anna. Learn to spot fresh fish and smart bacari.

“The title of the tour is very misleading. It should not be called a local fish market tour as virtually no time at all was spent in the fish market, which was disappointing. We had been looking forward to learning about the different types of seafood brought to the market from the lagoon and stopping to see the displays, but our guide led us quickly through the market without pause and we didn’t even have time to take photos. In terms of the foods offered, there was very little seafood, which was also disappointing. This is essentially a wine tasting tour with some cicchetti. It was also a very large…”

“Miss Ketty was an amazing guide and taylored the experience to our interests. We went shopping, we stopped to eat, did some sightseeing and learned a lot of Venician history; it was a blast. We then met her colleague John Carlo; he took us to lunch - where they accommodated my food allergy (glutten) and then to one of Murano's glass factories. He then escorted us back to the train station. Well worth the cost.”

“Mario was an outstanding tour guide. He was professional and customized the tour to our exact interests. We did a day in Valpolicella, an excellent walking tour of Padua with Rachel and a day in Prosecco. We learned so much about the making of Amarone wines. After that lovely day, we did a walking tour in Padua with Rachel. What a special gem this tour was. We saw the Scrovegni Chapel frescoes of Giotto that evening. Many we met later in Venice shared their love of those frescoes. I recommend this tour. Finally we spent a day in Prosecco Hills on a private tour. My husband and I are wine…”

“Venice is gorgeous, but it is a lot! Rachel (a now-native from Ohio) and her husband Mario enhanced our experience and made our (family of five with young adult/teens) three-day, post-cruise visit to this beautiful but crowded city SOO much easier. From our transfer from Trieste (during the G7 Summit - the city was all screwed up), then meeting up for great pictures spots, a gondola ride, then off to bars and restaurants. Our first day in Venice was filled with great sites and amazing food.”
